The transition period of the FCC SDoC accreditation process is coming to an end, officially replacing the FCC DoC and FCC VoC accreditation procedures
issuing time:2019-08-06     pageviews:

The first condition to use the SDoC program: the device has a responsible party in the continental United States. This responsible party information needs to be reflected in a certain information format in the documentation accompanying the product (the electronic file is also acceptable, provided that there is a real file instructing the user how to obtain the E-Copy), that is, the compliance information statement required in §2.1077.

Special Responsibilities of Responsible Party: A representative of the responsible party is required to sign off on the compliance test report for the equipment. This representative is not required to be in the United States. Once required by the FCC, the responsible party in the United States must be able to provide the FCC with free compliance information, test reports and equipment samples.

When there is no domestic responsible party role, the more stringent FCC certification can be used as an alternative to comply with FCC regulations.

Equipment approved by the old program before November 2, 2018, on the premise that the product has not changed after November 2, 2018 (including any design, circuit or structural changes, except for the change of the responsible party in the original DoC approval), Not subject to the new regulations, namely SDoC, there is no need to re-apply for testing or transfer to SDoC.

Comparison of SDoC with DoC and VoC: Compared with DoC, SDoC has no testing laboratory FCC accreditation qualification requirements, and equipment that complies with SDoC, the FCC Logo is voluntary and non-mandatory; compared with VoC, SDoC provides equipment that complies with SDoC. Possibilities of choice of FCC Logo.

For devices under both ID and SDoC control, when applying for ID certification and submitting "labels", they must also meet the label requirements of SDoC. The label referred to by the SDoC is product identification information.
